Overview
Feed Me ("the App") and its companion Chrome extension ("Save to Feed Me") are recipe management tools. We take your privacy seriously and collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the service.
Data We Collect
- Account info: Name, email, and profile picture from your Google account (via Google OAuth sign-in).
- Recipes: Recipe data you import or create, including text, images, and source URLs.
- Extension data: When you use the Chrome extension, the text content and images from Facebook posts you choose to import are sent to our servers for recipe extraction.
- Usage data: Basic usage statistics (recipe views, cooking logs) to improve the app experience.
Chrome Extension
The "Save to Feed Me" Chrome extension:
- Only activates on facebook.com when you explicitly click the import button.
- Only reads the content of the specific post you choose to import.
- Does NOT track your browsing history or activity.
- Does NOT collect data in the background.
- Stores only your API token locally (in Chrome sync storage) to authenticate with your account.
How We Use Your Data
- To extract and save recipes to your personal library.
- To provide AI-powered features (recipe extraction, suggestions, fun facts).
- To send you optional email notifications (you can unsubscribe anytime).
We do NOT sell, share, or monetize your personal data.
